The Eye Of The Horse

With Professor Dennis Brooks DVM, PhD, DACVO

Why The Equine Community Should Attend

Eye problems are common in horses and because the eye is delicate, delays in treatment can sometimes make a significant difference to the outcome.

The challenge for many horse owners is knowing what is serious, what can wait, and what needs immediate veterinary attention.

In this training, Professor Dennis Brooks will help you understand how the horse’s eye works, what your horse can actually see, and how to recognise the early signs of common eye problems so treatment can begin as soon as possible.

You’ll also learn which eye problems should be treated as emergencies, giving you more confidence to act quickly when something doesn’t look right.

This isn’t about turning you into a veterinarian. It’s about helping you become a more informed, observant horse owner so you can recognise warning signs earlier and seek help at the right time.
